Airfreight

While airfreight is a premium and potentially costly service, it’s often the only option for product required urgently. We can offer a comprehensive range of international air cargo solutions that will fit your individual cargo needs with high-level visibility. Working with clients, we design more effective airfreight services to meet service environments, dynamic production needs and end customer challenges. With our help, you can optimise your supply chain solutions for best routing, helping you save money with solutions that focus on delivery speed with constant communication and flexibility.

Sea Freight

We help clients find ocean solutions that are customised to meet their unique requirements. We provide third-party solutions with excellent Non-Vessel Operating Common Carriers (NVOCC) or direct with Shipping Lines that cover different sea container types, as well as consolidation services with reliable sailings to ensure your cargo reaches the right place, at the right time and in the most cost-effective way. We can provide innovative solutions which utilise consolidation services and Full Container Loads (FCL) to minimise costs. If your business does not have sufficient cargo to fill a full sea container, we can provide console services, which will consolidate your cargo with goods from other shippers within the same sea container. This is known as a Less than Container Load (LCL) solution.
Reviewing your company’s sea container utilisation may identify poor sea container fills, high usage of Less than Container Loads and incorrect container size usage. If this occurs, the implementation of a cost-effective shipping strategy will be required.

This involves forward planning production and purchase orders to maximise container fills. The strategy will also reduce the usage of LCL containers and 20ft containers while increasing the usage of 40ft high cube and 45ft containers, resulting in reduced international shipping costs.

Multimodal Solutions

By utilising multimodal solutions, you can combine sea and air services to obtain the advantages of both. The transit times for multimodal services fall between the normal air and ocean shipments on the same lane, but give a transit of up to 50 percent better than an ocean shipment. Combining your air cargo and ocean freight solutions can help you find the right balance between cost and time, adding flexibility to your supply chain while also reducing your costs compared with a standard airfreight shipment.

By using multimodal inland freight solutions, you can remove costs by reducing cargo handling which in turn will reduce damage and loss and allow cargo to be transported faster.
On arrival at the port, sea containers can move by rail to a railhead near to the end destination and then containers can move the final few miles by truck. This reduces the costs against road trucking from the port to the end destination.

Dealing with ‘peak season’ warehouse intake can be problematic however. There can be an understandable necessity to spread sea container deliveries throughout the week, while optimising the supply chain. One multimodal solution could be to utilise a deconsolidation warehouse, pick and pack to order and deliver product via backhaul or contracted trucking.
